It's my dad's 70th birthday today, St Patrick's Day.
Happy birthday dad.
I love you lots. Which I don't say often enough to you.
Unfortunately I don't think he reads this Blog, well why would anyone in their right mind, so I'll just have to say it in person this evening.
And yes, the photo is him.
Its hard for us men to say "I love you" sometimes isn't it? I lost my Dad three years ago, he was buried on St Patrick's Day. Your post just brought back a lot of emotion, emotional but not neccessarily bad.

It is hard to say, but well worth saying.
ReplyDeleteI lost my mum very unexpectedly almost 13 years ago, and I so regret that I rarely told her that I loved her. Love her. But I'm sure she knew, and continues to know.
Yes, emotion can be very powerful and sudden. I just cried while typing that last sentence.
